Herbalife opens in Jamaica, Iceland, India and Slovak Republic.Mark Hughes appears on the cover of Network Marketing magazine (U.S.).
Launch of Colour cosmetics line.
1998
Herbalife opens in Indonesia, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, Turkey and Swaziland.Chairman's Class happens in Palm Springs, CA, with guest speakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and former U.S. President Gerald Ford.
Mark Hughes opens an orphanage in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and names it Casa Herbalife.
Launch of Ocular Defense Formula.
1997
Herbalife opens in Chile and Thailand.Mark undertakes an extensive world tour, holding meetings in Holland, Japan, Brazil and the U.S.
Geri Cvitanovich, 1st Founder's Circle member, is designated.
Mark Hughes receives the "Greater Los Angeles Entrepreneur of the Year Award."
Launch of Dinokids.

Herbalife opens in Greece and Korea.New communications systems launch: Herbalife.com, TouchFon, voice and fax messaging systems.
Herbalife moves into its Executive Offices to 1800 Century Park East, Century City, CA.

Herbalife opens in Russia, Taiwan, Austria, Switzerland, Brazil, South Africa, Finland and Norway.Dermajetics® skincare line launches.
HBN launches in the United States and Europe.

Herbalife opens in Venezuela, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and the Philippines.The global charitable organization, Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), is founded by Mark Hughes.

Herbalife opens in the Netherlands.Geri Cvitanovich (U.S.) and Carol & Alan Lorenz (U.K.) become the first to reach Chairman's Club.
Launch of N-R-G Instant Tea Mix.

Herbalife opens in Portugal, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Italy and Japan.Launch of Thermogenics. ®
